Besides running Wooly Stash, I'm of course also just someone who crochets! You can find me on Instagram as Crochet by Chou (Chou is short for Michou), where I share my makes.
I don't design patterns myself, but I love crocheting patterns by makers I admire. From fanart of my favourite games to cute animals and other creatures. I also love testing new patterns for other crocheters.

I taught myself to crochet by watching YouTube and TikTok videos. Since most of those are in English, I've pretty much only ever crocheted with US terms. A ‘single crochet’ makes more sense to me than the Dutch ‘vaste steek’, ha!
I'm still learning new things with every project, and you can literally see your progress in what you make. It also reminds me to trust the process. A plushie that isn't put together yet often looks a bit odd, but once it's finished, everything suddenly falls into place. And let's not forget the most important part: crochet helps me switch off my brain for a while and de-stress.
Sparky Tiger Monster
I made this gorgeous beast as a pattern test for ghostkitty_crochet, and he's my biggest and most complex make so far. So many separate pieces to crochet and sew together.
The tricky part was holding him in the right pose while I sewed on his hair. That was quite a job, but I managed it and I'm super proud of how he turned out!
